The deep knowledge of iron and steel processing has been the heritage of the inhabitants of the pre-Alpine valleys north of Brescia for centuries: it is in Lumezzane that Serafino Zani puts to good use the experience gained working with his father Bernardo Lorenzo and founds Zani Serafino & C. in 1963. From the beginning, the company has applied this centuries-old know-how, rules handed down from generation to generation, together with great attention to detail, finishes and materials.

This photograph from the 30s shows the founder of the company Serafino Zani (17 July 1918 – 7 September 1981) engaged with his father in the workshop in Lumezzane, in the province of Brescia, where the Zani family, whose origins date back to the fifteenth century, has always lived. The six children of the founder Serafino, who today make up the Zani family, are still involved in the management of the company, together with the grandchildren of the third generation.

The Zani family continues to guide and administer the company today, developing projects and manufacturing products that combine traditional craftsmanship with an original and innovative industrial vision. Even today, all the processes that lead to the production of steel pots, saucepans, pans are carried out in the Lumezzane company, with the desire to affirm its vocation to produce beautiful and high quality objects.

Each Serafino Zani product is the result of careful progress combined with a consolidated design philosophy. The attention paid to the specific practical functions of the objects we produce ensures that they never fail to meet the needs of those who use them. This is the company philosophy that, from the beginning, has determined the strategic choices of our entrepreneurial activity.

The Zani family and the Zani company have always had a very close relationship with the Community: the growth of the company has been made possible by the contribution of our employees. In addition, the Community has facilitated the growth and development of Lumezzane’s businesses. As a result, we too have felt and continue to feel the need to contribute concretely to the cultural development of the territory.

We built an Astronomical Observatory on Monte San Bernardo in Lumezzane and donated it to the community. Our company, together with the Brescia Amateur Astronomers Union, continues to manage all educational, research and observation activities, with particular attention to schools in the Lombardy Region.

Together with a group of enthusiasts we have also created the All’Unisono Music Association, which today can count on 30 teachers and more than 200 students, holding individual and group lessons for all types of musical instruments.

These elements are our peculiar characteristics and represent our distinctive corporate identity. They are what differentiates us:
