Subito for the XXIII Compasso d'Oro Exhibition
Subito, the pressure cooker designed by Konstantin Grcic for Serafino Zani has been included in the pre-selection of the XXIII ADI Compasso d’oro Award, the oldest and most influential international design award.
Arisen by a Gio Ponti’s idea in the 1954 and organized since the 1964 by ADI, association for the Industrial Design, the Compasso d’oro is awarded on the basis of a pre-selection made by ADI Permanent Observatory of Design, consisting of a commission of experts, designers, critics, historians, specialized journalists, ADI members or external to it, all continuously engaged in collecting information year after year, and in valuing and selecting the best products that may be published on the ADI Design Index.
Subito is a pressure cooker with an innovative design and an essential and clean line typical of Grcic’s designs, leitmotif of all the products included in the project “Passami il Sale” (Pass me the salt) launched in 2007.
Realised in different capacities – 3L, 5L, 7L, 9L – to satisfy and meet any kind of demands, Subito is compatible with every cooking hobs and represents one of the jewels of Serafino Zani production.
It’s characterized by a great functionality: it is extremely easy to open and close, while the two valves assure the perfect operation of the cooker and complete safety during the cooking.
Subito, together with the best products of the Italian creativity and talent of the last three years (2011, 2012 and 2013) is shown in the Exhibition ADI Design Index and XXIII Compasso d’Oro Award.
